    As the Chief Financial Officer for OVH Energy, Mamadou is accountable for the organisation’s financial, risk management, contracting and procurement operations. With over 20 years’ professional experience, Mamadou provides tactical financial initiatives that drive our business growth. He recently launched a plan which marks the first fiscal session that guided the development of our 5-year financial plan across all business entities to ensure efficiency and transparency, an imperative benefit in our change management drive.

    Prior to his current role, he served as Managing Director for Vivo Energy Mali where he refocused the financial structure by tripling the size of the business over a 3-year period. Mamadou held a number of managerial and executive positions in various organisations including the Vivo Energy (Senegal) and Shell Downstream Africa (Senegal).

    He holds a degree in Marketing and Accounting from Ecole Nationale Superieure Universitaire de Technologie, Dakar and a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Neoma Business School in France.

     

    Michael Kumah - Director

    Michael Kumah is a partner of Reuss Private, a Swiss based investment firm. Michael Kumah has more than ten years’ experience in various key areas of wealth management. In recent years he demonstrated his client focus and expertise working for African clients at LGT Bank (Switzerland).

    The unit was established by Michael Kumah and Stefan Dubach in 2006 to service the needs of African entrepreneurs and executives, and subsequently flourished under their leadership. Prior to this he worked for UBS Wealth Management as project manager in charge of delivering strategic business initiatives and expansion programs in the UK, France, Germany and Italy, UBS’s key European onshore markets. Michael Kumah has a BSc. in electronic engineering from Nottingham University in the uk.

    Outside work, Michael actively encourages and fosters informal networking and introductions among African entrepreneurs and their European counterparts.

    Jonathan Norton - Board chairman

    Jonathan is an experienced management professional with intimate knowledge of commodity trading, marketing and risk management. With over 15 years of experience trading on the global commodity markets, he has contributed immensely to the growth of a number of multinational companies, including Vitol SA, deploying transformational strategies that lead to maximum value and potential.

    Jonathan has shown extreme versatility with a proven track record in managing the full spectrum of components for example, physical sales negotiations, option Greeks, freight, staff, business development and reporting. As a result-oriented professional, he helped to foster positive team dynamism in various capacities throughout his career.

    Jonathan is a vastly analytical and disciplined manager who uses experience to identify and capitalise on market opportunities. He is entrepreneurial with a demonstrated track record in business development on a multi-national level. He holds a Bachelor and Honorary Degree in Commerce from the University of South Africa, Durban.

Elton Dusi
Chief Executive Officer

Elton is a highly qualified professional with experience in driving business growth through strategic marketing and business development initiatives within the downstream sector of the Oil & Gas industry. 

He holds an MBA in Finance and he is also a BSc. Chemical Engineering graduate with qualification experience in Refinery Engineering, Petroleum products marketing and oil trading.

He has attended several executive trainings in Oil trading and Management from the Oxford Princeton Institution and the CITAC training Institute in the UK and South Africa. Elton has 10 years petroleum downstream experience and had previously worked with some OMCs in various managerial capacities. Elton has risen through the ranks in Ebony, being part of the pioneering team as an Operations Manager in 2011. He was appointed Chief Operations Officer in September 2012, a position he occupied until his appointment as CEO in April 2014.

Adelowo Folowosele
Head Finance and Planning

Mr. Folowosele was the Finance and Administrative Manager of Oando Marketing PLC Nigeria -Aviation Division. He has extensive experience in Financial Planning and Strategy, Managing Profitability, Strategic Planning, Promoting Process Improvement, Forecasting, Corporate Finance and Treasury Management.

He was the Financial Accountant from 2007 to 2008 at Saro Agrosciences Limited, a leading agro business company in Nigeria. He also worked as an accountant with Moving Media/ MM Digital Limited a major outdoor advertising company specialized in wall drape in Nigeria from 2005 to 2007.

He has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria for 8years. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Nigeria.

Lesley Asiedu
Sales & Marketing Manager

Lesley Aseidu   is an enthusiastic and goal driven professional with an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Lesley is an astute business developer with an in-depth understanding of the petroleum downstream sector and has a knack for breaking new frontiers. Her years of industry experience have enabled her spearhead the growth of Ebony’s market share. She worked with Sage Petroleum for a few years before joining the Ebony team in 2011.

Lesley holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana, and has taken Oil and Gas management courses with Oxford Princeton Institute, UK, and Petroleum Fiscal Systems and Product Sharing Contract Courses with Daniel Johnston & Co. Inc. She also holds a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from Coventry University, UK.

 

 

Ruth Fokuo
Human Resource Manager

Ruth Fokuo is experienced, practical and value driven human resources specialist with a proven track record in delivering a diverse range of human resource functions that support management and staff in achieving organizational goals.

She is the Human Resource Manager of Ebony Oil and Gas Limited with primary responsibilities of providing employees with the professional support and guidance required to retain, manage performance, develop and reward a ‘world class’ team that will effectively contribute to the achievement of the company’s objectives and deliver on top quartile shareholder returns.

She worked with Move To Ghana Limited a Relocation Services Company which offered services to expatriates who relocated to Ghana before assuming the position in April 2011 and has successfully structured the human resource department of Ebony Oil and Gas Limited.

Her career is enhanced by a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Administration from Central University College, a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing and Society for Human Resource Management. {SHRM}.

Edmund Edem Gamey
Operations Manager

GAMEY E. Edem is the Operations Manager of Ebony in charge of inbound and outbound logistics; and supply chain activities relating to petroleum product importation and distribution

Prior to joining Ebony Oil and Gas Ltd, Edem was the senior marketing executive at Barclays Bank Ghana, where he was responsible for management of key customer account. Edem has considerable experience in trading and operations sectors of downstream petroleum business.

He started employment as an Audit officer in Oando Ghana Ltd, a subsidiary of Oando Plc., Nigeria.

In 2011, Edem joined Ebony as an operations officer and rose through the ranks to become the Operations supervisor for both the Northern and southern sectors of Ghana before finally becoming the operations manager in Ebony Oil and Gas Ltd. Edem has over 6 years working experience in the petroleum downstream sector.

Edem holds MBA degree- International Business option from the Australian Institute of Business, Australia. And BSc. Banking and Finance from UPSA, Ghana. 

He has also attended several executive trainings in the Oil Operations and management from different certified institutions including the Oxford Princeton Institution, United Kingdom (UK).
